MHB Sues on Behalf of Man Arrested in Park for Holding Signs During Fourth of July Celebration

MHB lawyers Joe Shaeffer and Tiffany Cartwright recently filed a lawsuit against the Port of Kingston and Kitsap County for banning their client, Robin Hordon, from a public park in Kingston for peacefully displaying political signs during the town’s Fourth of July Celebration. Kitsap County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Mr. Hordon on July 4, 2019 after Port officials told him he needed to remove the signs from Mike Wallace Park. Because of the lawsuit, the Port has deleted its policy banning all signs.
